This model was born from the idea of doing some interesting but not so mainstream character. I chose Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox on Netflix.
I wanted to make his suit as true to life as Marvelous Designer allows, with a minimal amount of corrections, and so that with all the complexity of the cut, the suit would fit well and the right folds would appear at the bends. The goal was to improve my skills in Marvelous Designer.
I used Daz 3D as the dummy for the body and poses. The actor's head and all the facial hair on it was made in Blender. The hard surface pieces such as the helmet, holstered clubs, shoe soles, arm guards and other small fasteners were also made in Blender. Substance Painter and Photoshop were used to create textures and materials. The final crash test of the sewn costume was to depict the character in grotesque, relatively ridiculous, comic-book poses.
Also I would like to express my gratitude to Tiger's render farm. Thanks to him I could not limit myself during the simulation in Marvelous Designer and rendering in Blender. Thank you!
